What a blast we had celebrating the 4th again this year at Granddaddy's country club festivities! We went swimming, ate hot dogs and ice cream, and watched the skydivers and fireworks.

Beach Trip

We had a great time at the beach earlier this summer. We played at the beach, swam in the pool, played a couple rounds of putt-putt, and ate some yummy seafood.

Apparently, the seaweed looked like it needed MORE water!

Memorial Day Parade

We had a great time celebrating Memorial Day at the local parade with the Ford family. As usual it was a race to get the candy that was tossed throughout the parade. What a great reminder the parade displays of those who so greatly give their lives to help protect and defend our freedom!

End of Year Party

My thoughts raced as I looked 11 years in the future and imagined what Connor would look/be like/accomplished, etc by then - WOW! I couldn't think too long of course because this mama isn't anywhere near ready for that day!

Connor's teacher organized an end of the year party/promotion to 2nd grade celebration. They all filed in with their caps and were seated as "graduates" of 1st grade. Miss Camp presented them with their certificates and then we all celebrated with a cookout. What a great year Connor had in 1st grade.

Trip to Williamsburg

Over Spring break Andy and I took the kids to Williamsburg, VA to tour Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown Settlement, and Busch Gardens. We had a blast! We saw how the settlers lived back then and what the ships were like they travelled on to come to America. Everyone's favorite was Busch Gardens! It is a clean and beautiful amusement park. We had lunch with Elmo and friends and rode lots of rides! What great memories we made this week!!
